I’m a big fan of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, the strong sense of narrative in the songs really get my imagination working. This is what I hope will be a start of a series of pieces inspired by music, both by Nick Cave and others.

An add I created for a pole company. I tried to spice it up by having the text mirror the turned shape of the pole, in order to keep the symmetry.

These are logos I designed for an event which promotes parental involvement in the spiritual growth of their children.

Graphic design just about always entails a struggle with graphic baggage that has accumulated in the cultural psyche. For example, when one thinks of anything related to medicine, graphically, the caduceus leaps to mind. So the struggle is to reference the rich pool of recognition and yet make something new and recognizable. Here, the letterforms of the company name are meant to resemble a coiled snake, which is of course the main element of the caduceus. I even tried wings at one point, but that proved far too dorky, even for me!
